Top highlight was the trip to Herculaneum. We also very much enjoyed the trip to Pompeii but while less known Herculaneum is better preserved. The skeletons there were amazing. At some point we would like to go back and see the other places destroyed by Vesuvius that have been recently uncovered along with the Naples Archaeological Museum and Royal Palace in Naples. We enjoyed the Vatican tour and seeing the ancient Roman sites in Rome. All the tours were good and enjoyable. Amalfi Coast was nice but weather was not great. Would be better when weather is good. Buffy enjoyed the ceramic store that we stopped at near Amalfi and bought a number of really nice pieces. Also want to get back and see Capri.
Guides and drivers were all very good. Hotels were good also. However, we felt that the Hotel de Russie was cheap on their breakfasts by not including any hot items in their buffet. A 5 Star Hotel should not do that. Staff at both hotels were friendly and helpful.
We had a great trip. Thanks for putting it together.
