Liguria and Cinque Terre

Stretching from France to Tuscany along the Eastern coast of Italy, Liguria provides an example of beauty as Italy meets the crystal blue waters of the sea. Along the coast one can visit the towns of Santa Margherita Ligure, Portofino, Rapallo, Sestri Levente, Porto Venere, as well as the Cinque Terre, a UNESCO World Heritage site, five famous fishing villages connected only by boat, train or walking path. One port city not be missed is Genoa, which forms the southern corner of the industrial triangle of Milan-Turin-Genoa  in north-west Italy, making it one of the Italy’s economic centers.  One of the oldest banks in the world, the bank Of Saint George was founded in Genoa in 1407.  The city boasts a rich history and amazing architecture as well as the modern touches of an influential financial center. A land of contrast known for its ocean fresh cuisine, amazing fishing villages, port cities and pristine beaches, Liguria is an adventure unto itself.

Major attractions
- the 5 Cinque Terre villages (Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, Rio Maggiore;)
- the towns of Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure, Rapallo, Sestri Levante, Porto Venere on the east coast;
- Varazze, Celle Ligure, Bergeggi, Pietra Ligure, Alassio and Sanremo on the west coast:
- Genoa and its aquarium.
