Cinque Terre Day Trip

Itinerary Details

Discover the beautiful Cinque Terre, meaning ‘five lands’, a UNESCO World Heritage site, five enchanting villages - Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso - all  perilously perched on the cliffs along one of Italy’s most scenic stretches of coastline in the region of Liguria bordering with Tuscany.
Leave Milan and arrive at Golfo dei Poeti (Gulf of Poets) where you’ll travel to the delightful small town of Portovenere. From here, take a boat trip to Monterosso al Mare and admire the stunning views of the Cinque Terre from the sea. In Monterosso, the biggest of the five villages, you will have time to explore and visit the beaches dotted along the coast. Despite being a very popular tourist region, Le Cinque Terre still offers a notion of a pristine and local. Restaurants, bars and hotels all have an endearingly “family own and operated” air about them. After lunch you’ll have time off to roam through the back streets and piazzas, then you’ll visit the picturesque town of Vernazza and Riomaggiore. You'll have free time to venture close to the vineyards, stroll the piers where fishing boats line the shore or climb the Guardiola Tower for the best aspects of the town and coast! Carry on by train to La Spezia for the concluding leg of your journey, where your coach will be awaiting to bring you back to Milan.
