Day 01: FRIDAY ARRIVAL [dinner]
Welcome to Italy! In the evening, meeting at hotel with tour host which will provide information regarding the program and literature of the destination that are about to be visited and will offer a welcome dinner.
Overnight in Rome.
Day 02: SATURDAY ROME VATICAN [breakfast - walking tour]
After breakfast, meet with guide and driver in the lobby of your hotel. Transfer by private van to the Vatican Museum. Here you will start your exploration of Rome: The Belvedere Courtyard with Apollo Belvedere & Laocoön & His Sons - Raphael Rooms - The Galleries of the Candelabra - Gallery of Maps – Gallery of the Tapestries - Sistine Chapel - Pinecone Courtyard - St. Peter’s Basilica. Exit on the St. Peter’s Square and enjoy the view of the magnificent Cathedral. Return to hotel for a midday break. Later in the afternoon meet tour leader for a walking tour to: Baroque Town with Piazza Navona – Pantheon - Spanish Steps - Piazza di Spagna - Italian Parliament - Fascinating narrow streets of ancient Rome. Return to hotel with tour leader or enjoy a dinner in the very heart of Rome. Overnight in Rome.
Day 03: SUNDAY ROME [breakfast]
Free day to relax and explore your favorite attractions in Rome. We suggest: The Imperial Rome with Colosseum and Fori – Palazzo Borghese – Tivoli - Villa Hadriana – Villa D’Este (masterpiece of Italian gardening) – Using of the new high speed trains connecting Naples and Rome in just 1hr you may visit Capri - Pompeii - enjoy a wine tour in Viterbo area. Overnight in Rome.
Day 04: MONDAY TUSCANY [breakfast - walking tour - wine tasting ]
Meet your assistant at hotel and transfer to Florence by private coach. The drive itself is a magnificent path along the roads of Tuscany, where it is possible to enjoy the view of hills covered by vineyards, olives tree, small villages and original bell towers. En route stop in Siena, probably Italy's loveliest medieval city. The town offers magnificent masterpieces and incredible views. Upon arrival in Siena, enjoy a wine & food experience in the heart of the old town: “Original Tuscan Food: wine tasting with cheese and salami. After lunch, enjoy a walking tour to Piazza del Campo (the main central square of famous Palio horse race) - exploring the city and learning about the Contrade (17 medieval city districts that compete against each other during the Palio).At the end, continue to Florence where you will arrive later afternoon. Possible en route stop in Monteriggioni. Overnight in Florence.
Day 05: TUESDAY FLORENCE [breakfast]
Breakfast in hotel. Visit the city of Florence. Explore San Lorenzo market, where it's possible to find the fresh products arriving daily from Tuscan Countryside. It’s will be a great opportunity to taste many varieties of cheese, fruits and vegetable, breads… Free time for lunch. Then, meet your guide in hotel to explore Florence in depth. Visit Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio (from outside), the Dome with Giotto's bell tower (from outside), Ponte Vecchio. Finally, visit the Accademia and see Michelangelo masterpiece: the statue of David. Overnight in Florence.
Day 06: WEDNESDAY CINQUE TERRE [breakfast, lunch]
Begin your private post-tour to Cinqueterre (from this moment, the tour continue on private basis, without tour escort. The tours included are private). After breakfast, meet your driver guide and continue to Cinqueterre. Upon arrival, we will start exploring of the National Park by boat, train, and walking fabulous trails on the cliff. Cinqueterre is the name of a district that encompasses five glorious towns, where small houses are surrounded by lush nature. Visitors are fascinated by the beauty of these five small villages, namely: Manarola, Riomaggiore, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso al Mare. The inhabitants of Cinque Terre benefit not only from its pristine waters, but from its natural environment, where wild nature is interspersed with vineyards, olive groves and citrus orchards, creating a precious bond between man, his traditions and this breathtaking stretch of coast. We will enjoy a delicious seafood full lunch with wine tasting in a local restaurant on the sea, accompanied by some great white wines typical of this region. Return to Florence late afternoon. Overnight in Florence.
Day 07: THURSDAY [breakfast, wine tasting, dinner]
Free day to relax and explore your favorite attractions in Cinqueterre. In the afternoon, meet guide for a 25 minutes transfer to Chianti Wine Region. Visit of a 500-year-old cellar visit, still used today for a very small, selected wine production and aging. En expert wine maker will teach you to distinguish the different and various scents and flavors that each wine presents while tasting different product of this boutique winery. While learning how to pair different wines with specific food, you will enjoy a dinner which includes local charcuterie and a cheese selection, paired with different jams and balsamic vinegar, a selection of two pasta dishes and a main course made of a traditional meat dish. A Tuscan dessert is then served with local sweet wine. Included is a tasting of the region's finest olive oil with typical unsalted Tuscan bread. Return to Florence after dinner. En route stop at Piazzale Michelangelo belvedere, for a breathtaking view of Florence. Overnight in Florence.
