Day 1: Arrive in Rome
Upon arrival at Rome airport, meet your private driver and transfer to the hotel. Check in. Enjoy a delightful afternoon seeing the sites of Rome, included Piazza Navona and the Pantheon. After a brief stop for gelato, reach the Trevi Fountain and learn the true significance of tossing in a coin. You will enjoy seeing the Ancient Roman ruins along the way and also walk to the Spanish Steps. Evening at Leisure. Overnight stay.
Day 2: Ancient Rome
Breakfast at the hotel. Start your day visiting the Colosseum, you will wander through the Palatine Forum and up to the Hill, hearing the personal stories of gladiators and the battles of Rome. Pause at the Arch of Constantine and take in the moment as you arrive at the most famous of the Seven Hills of Rome, Palatine Hill. In the afternoon, choose from the Gladiator School and Museum or visit the Vatican and Sistine Chapel with tourist guides specially for children. Evening at Leisure. Overnight stay.
Day 3: The Vatican with the Eye of a Young
Breakfast at the hotel. This morning the whole family will enjoy the visit to the Vatican and Sistine Chapel. Your guide will share the stories and secrets within the Museum’s walls. Afterwards, you will be humbled by the imposing beauty of Saint Peter’s Basilica, where you will encounter another of Michelangelo’s masterpieces, La Pietà. For a fascinating finish, you will stop to admire the magnificent Saint Peter’s Square. In the afternoon optional: Explora, the first museum in Rome aimed at children, who can touch and play with everything on display. Evening at Leisure. Overnight stay.
Day 4: Florence
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning departure by high-speed train to Florence. Check in at the hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a bike tour, or, in alternative, a boat cruise on the Arno River. Evening at Leisure. Overnight stay.
Day 5: Art, Science and Food
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning guided tour to the Accademia museum to admire the famous and worldwide acclaimed sculpture of the David by Michelangelo followed by the visit of the Galileo Museum to see exhibits from the famed scientist and inventorto the Galileo Museum to see exhibits from the famed scientist and inventor. In the afternoon, enjoy a pizza and gelato making class designed for the whole family. Evening at Leisure. Overnight stay.
Day 6: Bologna The City of Food
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning departure by high-speed train to Bologna and check in at the hotel. Bologna has a number of nicknames: La Dotta (the learned) for its ancient university, La Rossa (the red) for the warm color of its roofs and houses, and La Grassa (the fat) for the wonderful food. Explore Bologna’s oldest food market with an insider and visit the most traditional food shops. Evening at Leisure. Overnight stay.
Day 7: FICO Eataly World
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit FICO Eataly World, the largest food park in the world with interactive experiences and guided tours exploring the farm. Lots of fun to be had with opportunities for encounters with the animals and the foods being created. Evening at Leisure. Overnight stay.
Day 8: Venice
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning departure by high-speed train to Venice and check-in at the hotel. Visit St. Mark's Square and discover the Doges hidden treasures and its secret doors and rooms. At sunset take a Gondola ride. Evening at Leisure. Overnight stay.
Day 9: The Lagoon Islands and Mask Making
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning adventure to the Lagoon islands and visit to the artisan glass shops in Murano, the lace makers and beautiful fisherman’s cottages in Burano. Return to Venice, lunch on your own. In the afternoon, learn to make the Venetian masks in an authentic mask making workshop. Evening at Leisure. Overnight stay.
Day 10: Departure
Breakfast at the hotel. Private transfer to the airport and departure. Good bye!
