DAY 1: ARRIVE IN ROME – Your Italy Tour for the Modern Goddess Begins!
Upon arrival at Rome airport meet your private driver for transfer to your hotel. After check in, meet your guide for an afternoon walking tour of Rome. Some of the sites you will visit are: the Trevi Fountain, Via Condotti, Piazza Navona, the Church of St. Agnes facing the fountain and the Pantheon, a monument built in honor of Gods and Goddesses. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay.

DAY 2: ROMAN GODDESS
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning tour of Ancient Rome, beginning with Capitoline museums, admiring a sculpture of Venus, the Roman goddess. In the Roman Forum you will see the Temple of the Vestal Virgins, with a few remains of female statues. Vesta was the goddess of the earth and home. Afternoon and evening at leisure. Overnight stay.

DAY 3: MICHELANGELO’S MUSE
Breakfast at the hotel. “A woman so pure of body and should is eternally young,” said Michelangelo in response to his critics who thought the Virgin Mary in the Pietà looked too young. Today enjoy a tour in the greatest art collections: the Vatican museums and the Sistine Chapel. Your English speaking guide will lead you inside the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica, where you will admire Michelagelo’s Pieta’.

Lunch on your own. Afternoon tour of the churches dedicated to Female Saints: Santa Maria in Trastevere, Santa Maria della Pace, Saint Agnes (inside). Lastly visit Sant’Agostino Church. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay.

DAY 4: SIENA AND ST CATHERINE’S HERITAGE
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning departure transfer to Antico Borgo di Tignano and stop on the way to visit Siena. Siena is famous for its Palio that takes place every year on Piazza del Campo but also for its Patron Saint Catherine, who was a very outspoken woman for her time and social standing. Stroll around the historical center and admire the Town Hall and the Romanesque/Gothic Cathedral. After the visit you can enjoy a meal before heading to your final destination.

Arrive and check in to your accommodation in the Borgo Tignano. History tells us that Saint Atinia was born here, a martyred Christian saint, highly venerated in the region. Now the borgo is a restored music and yoga retreat center. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay.

DAY 5: REJUVENATE AT ANTICO BORGO DI TIGNANO
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy your day simply relaxing and embrace the energy that this place spreads naturally. You can also participate in courses that are offered here to take care of your body and your emotions. You can choose amongs many different types of massages, music, yoga, meditation and self-improvement courses, all of these will take you in a more positive direction that will influence the environment in which we all live. Overnight stay.

DAY 6: VOLTERRA’S HILLTOPS
Breakfast at the hotel. You will start your day with a short hike near Volterra, a former Etruscan settlement. Visit an alabaster stone shop and then continue to an organic farmhouse for lunch. Free time in Volterra in the afternoon before heading back home to the Borgo. Overnight stay.

DAY 7: COOKING CLASS UNDER THE TUSCAN SUN
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure transfer to Cortona, a small charming town in the province of Arezzo, featured in the movie “Under the Tuscan sun”. Check in at the organic farmhouse, where, during your stay, you will enjoy a real Tuscan experience with home made wine, olive oil and great slow food. In the afternoon join a cooking class and experience the philosophy of slow food. Overnight stay.

DAY 8: ETRUSCAN HERITAGE
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning tour of Cortona, the pearl of Val di Chiana. Thanks to its 500 mt above sea level position, the town offers a spectacular view over the valley, one of the most spectacular in all Italy, stretching out to Lake Trasimeno, Montepulciano and beyond. Typical Etruscan lunch will follow. In the afternoon, return to the farmhouse. Overnight stay.

DAY 9: FLORENCE THE CRADLE OF THE RENAISSANCE
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure transfer to Florence and check in at hotel. Join your guide on a tour to the Accademia museum, which hosts the impressive sculpture of the “David” by Michelangelo. Continue to the city center for a stroll all the way to Ponte Vecchio, along which you will walk by the famous Duomo di Firenze. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay.

DAY 10: UFFIZI GALLERY TREASURES
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning tour to the Uffizi museums, where you can admire the masterpieces of Florence finest Renaissance artists such as Botticelli, with the famous “Birth of Venus”, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Raffaello, Giotto, Cimabue, Masaccio. Afternoon and evening at leisure. Overnight stay.

DAY 11: DEPARTURE
Breakfast at the hotel. Private transfer to Firenze airport and departure. Arrivederci!
