But before you hit the incredible slopes, you’ll have the unique opportunity to experience the magical Christmas Markets that are held in the area each year in celebration of the holidays. From dazzling lights and décor to local merchants peddling handcrafted, one of a kind treasures to peaceful horse drawn carriage rides along ancient cobblestone streets, from the moment you step foot in one of these enchanting markets you’re certain to be captivated by the holiday spirit.

Day 1 ~ Arrive in Bolzano
Arrive in the magnificent Dolomites on your own, and check into your centrally located hotel in Bolzano.

Day 2 ~ Bolzano Christmas Market
Bolzano is lovely any time of year, but it’s particularly spectacular during the Christmas Market, when the atmosphere is abuzz with holiday preparations. The air is filled with the sights, smells and sounds of the season from the faint melody of Christmas music to the inviting scents of wine and pastry wafting out of local shops. Peruse the charming little huts that line the market square offering unique handcrafted items made of wood, glass and ceramic, holiday decorations and other gifts. After you’re done shopping, dine on some authentic fare and wash it all down with a glass or two of exquisite locally produced wine. Relax as you enjoy a horse-drawn coach ride through the ancient town streets and take a moment to savor the enchanting atmosphere that permeates the whole town. It’s a magical air that will have you feeling like a child again.

Day 3 ~ Bressanone Christmas Market
Considered by many to be the hidden gem of South Tyrol, Bressanone is a quaint, friendly and authentic Italian town featuring ancient cathedrals and beautiful antiquated buildings. Its warm, charming atmosphere makes it the perfect locale for the annual Christmas Market, during which time the age-old city becomes magically transformed into a holiday celebration. Colorful décor blankets the surrounding area where you will be greeted with the inviting scents and sounds of the season. Savor mouthwatering traditional cuisine and marvel at the unforgettable sights of the sparkling holiday celebration. Days 4- Skiing in the Dolomites
In the morning you will be transferred to Alta Badia in the Dolomites. Once you’ve checked into your hotel you will have the opportunity to meet your UIAGM/IFMGA ski guide for a trip briefing and equipment check (and rent gear if needed). You’ll also pick up your week long Dolomiti Superskipass. We’ll discuss the group’s skiing abilities and interests, and plans for your exciting days skiing in the Dolomites!

5, 6 & 7 ~ Skiing in the Dolomites
The following days’ skiing itineraries will be determined by your guide based on the snow and weather conditions, fitness levels and skiing abilities of participants, as well as your interests, and his or her recommendations. Each day you will have the opportunity to ski a different tour at one of the many Dolomiti Superski resorts. In addition to fabulous skiing, you will also have the benefit of ongoing expert instruction to help you improve your skiing ability. Skiing days are intended to be fun with lots of thrilling skiing, but always directed with a focus on your safety and the safety of others.

Option to visit the Christmas market of Brunico.
Known as the “pearl of the Val Pusteria”, the town of Brunico is magically transformed from quaint ski village to a glistening holiday wonderland during the annual Christmas Market. The atmosphere is permeated by an air of romance and serenity as the charming little town prepares to celebrate the holidays. Enjoy a splendid walk around the old streets of the town, beautifully decorated in dazzling Christmas flair. Smell the mouthwatering aromas of freshly baked pastries and enjoy culinary masterpieces from local restaurants offering delectable samplings of authentic Tyrol cuisine. Traditional arts and handicrafts are available for purchase from the friendly local merchants and there are plenty of fun activities designed specifically to entertain the little ones, making the Christmas Market of Brunico perfect for the whole family.
