Gabriella’s Borgo

Hotel Description

Gabriella’s Borgo is a recently renovated medieval village, close to Casole d’Elsa and Volterra, in the Tuscan countryside. Set in 3 hectares of private land, this property, also known as Antico Borgo Di Tignano used to be a rural residence dating back to the 16th century. It is the probable birth place, in the 4th century, of Saint Attinia, a venerated saint from the Volterra area. Amongst its notable guests in the 1800’s, was Pope Pius the ninth. The property boasts 13 apartments and rooms as well, each with private bathrooms, living areas and private entrances. It also features a large meeting/events room, a large restaurant/dining area with a breathtaking panoramic view from the wonderful  terrace, where on which you can taste the typical Tuscan cuisine and  special vegetarian meals. La Terrazza Di Dante restaurant also  serves a sweet Italian breakfast each morning. The outdoor swimming pool is available from May through September, and a golf course in only a 30 minute drive from the Borgo.
