DAY 1: ARRIVE IN THE CHIANTI AREA
Independent arrival in Greve in Chianti. Check in at Podere Le Rose. Meet with the other guests and enjoy a welcome dinner with the de’ Mari family. Overnight stay.
DAY 2: COOKING CLASS – HOW TO MAKE PASTA
Breakfast at the hotel. Start the day with your first hands on cooking class, where you will learn 4/5 different recipes for pasta dishes. Following the class, enjoy lunch together with you fellow students and enjoy the fruits of your hard work. Afternoon is at leisure for personal discovery. Light dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 3: COOKING CLASS – MEAT DISHES AND WINE PAIRING
Breakfast at the hotel. You today’s cooking class will focus on meat dishes as well as the art of wine pairing in order to enhance your hand made meal. Lunch all together followed by a guided excursion in the Chianti area, during which you will visit few local wineries and enjoy tasting of the famous Chianti region. Following the tour you’ll return to the podere. Light dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 4: COOKING CLASS – SEAFOOD SECOND COURSES
Breakfast at the hotel. Third day of hands on cooking class focusing on how to prepare seafood dishes Following the class, lunch together. Afternoon at leisure. Light dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 5: COOKING CLASS – APPETIZERS AND SAUCE MAKING
Breakfast at the hotel. Another day, another cooking class. Today learn different recipes for appetizers and basic sauces. Lunch will follow. Afternoon guided excursion to Greve in Chianti, the charming Tuscan hilltop village, home of the Chianti Classico. Light dinner at home. Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 6: COOKING CLASS – LAST CLASS
Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will attend your last cooking class where your will put together all the skills you have learned throughout the course. Lunch will follow. Afterwards departure transfer to Florence. Check in at your hotel. Afternoon Florence walking food tour where you’ll taste breads, cheeses, salumi, crostini, wine, sweets, balsamic vinegar, olive oils and seasonal specialties, while enjoying the open air museum of Florence. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay.
DAY 7: DEPARTURE
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport by your car and departure. Return home with great memories and many recipes to welcome your friends. Goodbye!
