The trip to Italy was a great success and all the sites were very interesting, though my favorites were the Vatican and St. Peters Basilica, Colosseum and Ancient Rome, Pompeii, Accademia and Uffizi ,the scenery in Sorrento, Capri and Amalfi drive, plus the overall appearance of Venice. The guides were first class, though the ones in florence and rome were extraordinary with their knowedge, enthusiasm and communication skill. The guide in Sorrento, Capri and Amalfi served as both an excellent guide and fine dinner companion as she had to translate to part of the group who were from brazil and spoke only Portuguese. Eating our dinner meals at restaurants outside the hotel added to the enjoyment. The hotels except for the first night were satisfactory ,with the Grand Hotel La Favorita in Sorrento being number one by far. Thanks for the help.
