Working with Ashleih at Cultural Italy to plan the perfect wedding anniversary trip for my husband and me took all of the stress out of planning.
With this being our first time to Italy (and a two week trip at that), we had no idea where to even begin. All it took was an email and then a phone call to get the ball rolling. I shared my vision for the trip with Ashleih and she quickly put together an itinerary complete with lodging, transportation, and activities based on our interests. We didn’t have to do a thing and it was so refreshing. Usually we are DIY travelers but for our anniversary we didn’t want to deal with the stress. This trip was so special for us and it was worth every penny.
In addition to the itinerary and bookings, Ashleih was available to answer my million questions about the train system and other cultural curiosities, as well as to give suggestions for food and shopping. She even made sure our lodging knew we were celebrating an anniversary, which resulted in a free bottle of wine at every hotel. It was a nice personal touch.
We loved seeing the Sistine Chapel and attending Mass in Rome, making hand-rolled pici from scratch at our cooking class in Siena, breaking bread and toasting to new friends on our food tour of Florence, and hiking between the villages of the Cinque Terre. Being able to just be present in the moment without worrying about the details of traveling really let us relax and enjoy our trip.
Italy will always have a special place in our hearts, and we look forward to returning thanks to Cultural Italy.
