JULY 2016

Manuela,

Buongiorno! We are so sad the trip is over but are recovering nicely from the 24 hours of travel! I cannot thank you enough for planning such a wonderful honeymoon for us. This was the absolute best trip – thank you, thank you, thank you.

In terms of feedback, here were the highlights:

1) Amalfi Coast Drive – talk about stunning. The views made us speechless. Renalto was fantastic and made the drive both fun and informative. The stops to take pictures, to walk Positano, to visit the Ceramic store and have lunch in Ravello were wonderful touches and made the day. Renato’s lunch recommendation was our best meal of the trip! He also took great care of us, making us a dinner reservation for our final night in Sorrento at Donna Sofia (I heard you stopped there as well!).

2) Sorrento Countryside Cooking Class – so beautiful, fun and a great way to end the trip. We had so much fun with your colleagues! The location was fantastic – so much fun to pick vegetables straight from the garden and make excellent dishes with the instruction of Francesca. Perfect venue and experience.

3) Eating Italy Food Tour – the food was fantastic. We had a great group and Anna (our guide) did such a good job introducing us to the neighborhood and favorite haunts. We loved Trastevere and highly recommend the area. The wine cellar stop was our absolute favorite.

4) The Guides/Tours – we loved our guides. The guides, tours (group size, etc) were wonderful. Knowledgeable, friendly and fun. Perfect size groups – thank you so much! Our guide from the Colosseum especially stands out. Engaging and a great speaker.

*Hotels were fantastic. Loved the rooftop on Hotel Dei Mellini. Loved the balcony views and rooftop for Grand Hotel De La Ville. Both locations were great. Staff was also great.

*Capri boat tour was beautiful. My only minor note was that we did not stop at the Blue Grotto. The tour actually stops earlier for a quick swim on the side of the island and then passes the Grotto on the way to the drop-off. We ended up skipping the Grotto as we didn’t have enough time to get a smaller boat to take us. The boat around the island was the highlight (the actual town was not my favorite – too congested). If there were an option to do a boat trip around the island, and only stop in the town for an hour, that would be perfect!

We fell in love with Italy and cannot thank you enough for this wonderful trip. Your planning was perfect and these memories will last us a lifetime (and haunt us at work this week!) ;). Thank you so so much.

Ciao and Grazie!
