Our trip was wonderful! We had an inconvenient start due to a cancelled flight from Frankfurt to Rome which caused us to miss our train from Rome to Naples. Had to buy more expensive tickets but we’re working with the insurance company on getting the refund. The City Sorrento Hotel was a little uncomfortable for us due to the tiny room but it was clean and had a modern bathroom. We loved Sorrento. We just wandered and took pictures and shopped. Our favorite day was when Pepe, the driver, took us to the Amalfi Coast. Amazing! We went as far as Ravello. We also went to Pompeii which may have been my husband’s favorite place. We wanted to go to Capri but the water was choppy and I get seasick (even with Dramamine) so we missed that. Rome, the Vatican, the Coliseum were all amazing.
Roberta was very helpful and patient. We’d definitely recommend Cultural Italy to friends and relatives going to Italy. If we decide to go back and visit Tuscany/Florence some day you’ll hear from us!
