AUGUST 2017
Hello Roberta,
Trip was really wonderful all around; and you made the coordination so clear and easy so thank you! I have already recommended you to a few people so I hope you get some new clients as a result!
Some feedback:
Hotels: Venice hotel was a bit of a disappointment (room faced a wall, place was a bit rundown) but other 3 were all good, especially the last one in Sorrento, which we especially liked. Smooth check-ins with nice family rooms waiting for us.
Private tours: all fantastic tour guides. Loved Manuela who we had 2 days in a row in Rome, loved our driver in Tuscany; loved Sabina in Pompeii (that was a huge highlight for all of us – SO glad we added it). They were all knowledgeable, enthusiastic and reliable.
Classes/extras: The Florencetown pizza class was better than expected! Figured it would be very basic but there was real technique and we all had a lot of fun. Only thing that we feel we really didn’t get our money’s worth out of was the Roman Street Food tour. Our tour guide (think Gianluca?) was lovely so no reflection on him, but all we got was a pizza stop, a sandwich stop, a long stop at a restaurant where just had rice balls and a cocktail, and then gelato. We were all expecting more.
Capri boat: loved this day; captain (Sebastiano) was fantastic, it was indeed semi-private which was fine and was the perfect way to end the trip.
Couple of our other highlights that we did on our own were taking the girls to the opera in Rome (the venue wasn’t exactly La Scala, but still a good experience) and heading up to Fiesole one evening in Florence, where we had our favorite dinner at the same restaurant we dined at 21 years ago!
Overall, a wonderful trip. So glad two years later we made it happen!
Grazie mille!
Marisa
