Really a great trip and everything was well planned out. Thanks. The Kolbe Hotel in Rome was in the perfect location as we were able to walk across the river at night into a part of town that was less tourist driven (Trestavare?) and really enjoy the dining experience. We loved the rooms in that Hotel as well. In fact on Saturday and Sunday a half of a block from that hotel is a little farm market with stands selling meat, cheese, bread, wine, olive oil, etc…we stumbled onto that when we first arrived and it was a fun experience. I didn’t like the location of the Capo D Africa as much but the room was very nice and the staff was the most friendly of the three hotels. The train system was super easy to you use. The wine tour was unreal and probably the highlight of the trip. All told we had a great experience. The only things I’d channge: We probably should have booked a tour guide for the Uffizi as that was a bit hard when on our own; I wasn’t crazy about the Hotel in Florence (Bernini Palace). The decorations were very nice, but the rooms were really small, they had construction going on while we were there and I thought the Hotel staff was by far the least inviting of the three Hotels. Thanks for reaching out.
