I wanted to let you know that we made it home safely and had a WONDERFUL trip. Thanks for all of your help. I want to pass on some comments about our trip so you know for future clients.
Rome
Hotel Giulio Cesare – the hotel was very nice. Large rooms, clean and quiet. We passed by Hotel 21 and I feel Giulio Cesare was wayyyyyy better.
Manuela and the Vatican Tour – AMAZING. Manuela was a treasure. Sweet and knowledgeable. I would give her 5 stars.
Sara and the Trastevere Food Tour – AMAZING. Sara was GREAT! Fun and excited about what she does. 5 stars.
Pitigliano – I want to live there. Sooo beautiful. We only made it to Pitigliano and Sorano. We didn’t make Sovana. Luigi the driver was very good. Born in Italy but moved to New York as a child. He spoke perfect English and had lots of stories. He wasn’t familiar with Pitigliano or Sorano but his life stories were the perfect entertainment.
Isabella and the Villa D’este Tour. Isabella was great. Not as nurturing as Manuela but still a gem to be with. 5 Stars.
Positano – beautiful but too touristy for my taste. I’m glad we went but not sure I would go back. Giovanna the driver was the best. She’s from Sorento and drives the coast often. We didn’t need a tour guide because she was soooo knowledgeable. You could tell she has passion for what she does and her country.
Bari- Our driver the whole time was Francesco. He was GREAT!!!! I wish I spoke more Italian so we could communicate better.
Trani is my new favorite beach town. Soooo cute. Castel del Monte – sooo interesting and beautiful.
Alberobello and Ostuni are sooo cool. Love them.
Federica – tour guide for Lecce and Otranto. She was sooo cute. Lecce and Otranto are very nice, but far from Bari. it was a long day.
Matera – our parents were too tired so they didn’t go. I told Franceso it would only be me and William so he could get a small car. He did and we had a great day. Pasquale was our tour guide. He was a very funny guy. I liked him a lot. Matera is AMAZING. If I ever go back I want to stay in a hotel we saw that was a renovated sassi.
If you have customers asking for Southern Italy I would highly recommend our itinerary. You did an amazing job.
