If celebrating the New Year at one of the premier musical events live-broadcast across Italy sounds exciting, your destination is Venice. What has now become a tradition at the Teatro La Fenice is the spectacular Concerto di Capodanno 2020. This year’s performance includes top talent from around the world. 

La Fenice Choir and Orchestra is guided by Chorus Master Claudio Marino Moretti. Appearing fresh off concerts with the Toyko Philharmonic Orchestra is award winning Conductor Myung-Whun Chung. The talented vocalists for this renowned concert are soprano Francesca Dotto, tenor Francesco Demuro, baritone Luca Salsi and alto Valeria Girardello. 

Broadcast on RAI Television, the concert will begin with the orchestra’s performance of Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8 in G major. The second half delights audiences with the following selections:

Nino Rota’s suite from Federico Fellini’s Amarcord

Verdi Rigoletto “Cortigiani vil razza dannata”
