FOOD & WINE
There is no better place for a wine lover than Italy. The majority of us get used to think that Tuscany is the number-one destination for such purpose, while actually it is far not the only region capable to lift your spirits up while bringing down into your stomach some unique and extraordinary wine flavors. A visit of the Northern Piedmont with its picturesque hills and infinite number of vineyards will give you a proof that magic white and red elixirs along with a unique travel experience are all to be found there.
Piedmont in fact is the motherland of such world famous bottles as Asti, Barbaresco, Barbera, Barolo, Gavi and Dolcetto. And yet, wine itself is only one part of the story. Not at all inferior to the famous Tuscany hills, Piedmont offers breathtaking backdrops rich with mountain silhouettes and neat stripes of vineyards decorating refreshing green slopes of this Northern region. Besides, while traveling from one winemaker to another on winding and sinuous roads of the area, you will spot dozens of picturesque Italian villages, each carefully preserving its original castles and millenary traditions.
