Wayne and Jamie’s Trip

Ciao Martina!
We had a great time! Your recommendations were all excellent!
Navona Colors was in an excellent location as you said – a little small but otherwise nice and very friendly staff (note that stepping into the bathtub for a shower could be difficult for an older couple)
Rooftop bar at Terrazza Borromini was awesome- menu at restaurant was interesting and staff was pleasant and accommodating.
Of course all the historical sites were amazing and our colosseum guide was great!
We took the Metro afterwards to the Spanish Steps – easy ride – Jamie loved all the high end shops around there!
Trains to and from Florence and Naples were amazing! First class was definitely the way to go!
We loved Sorrento and the coast – Hotel Capadimento was beautiful (classic Italian style) and staff again was very friendly! Breakfast buffet was a nice surprise with a beautiful view! (and pool was beautiful- although it should be heated – just a little critique) We loved being able to walk back and forth into town. Dinners at Donna Sofia and Mama Che Pasta were great!!
Positano, Amalfi town and Ravello were all great fun – we only wish we had more time especially in Positano – turned out our dinner reservation at La Tagliata was made an hour earlier than expected (we could have used that time in Positano) but it was a beautiful location and we didn’t miss La Sponda – food was great (we especially loved the first course with vegetables and pasta and mozzarella)
Boat trip to Capri was a lot of fun though the sea was rough and we couldn’t get into blue grotto – we did the chairlift in Anacapri and loved it!
Our drivers were all very friendly, informative and reliable- we are going to be in touch with one on WhatsApp who claimed he was a chef and has all kind of recipes!
Cooking class was a lot of fun and we met some great fellow travelers- fortunately they didn’t throw me out based on the looks of my ravioli! (Haha)
Dinner at Taverna Trilussa was delicious and we really enjoyed walking around Travestere afterwards and seeing everyone partying! (In Sorrento one night a couple of guys were playing guitar at one of the outdoor cafes by the main square and the whole crowd was singing and dancing!)
Thank you again for all your help, availability and recommendations and we would love to go back one day!
Take care – grazie Mille!!!

Start planning your trip to Italy!
