I am the very fortunate woman to be Stacey Jordan’s mum. You planned a perfect trip that allowed us to experience the beauty and diversity of your country. The people, music, sights, sounds – and especially the food and wine – all came together to create an amazing travel experience.
The flow of the trip beginning in Venice and ending on the Amalfi coast was perfect. All the photos and books did not prepare me for the magic and beauty of Venice. Rome with its seamless blending of ancient history with contemporary times forced me to appreciate how clearly the past (our shared histories) truly continues to speak to our future. And finally, the Amalfi coast – a place of breath-taking beauty – was the perfect place to end this trip while soaking up the its physical and spiritual beauty.
The people – tour guides, drivers, hotel staff – were all so gracious, well-informed and professional. I wish I could remember all of their names because each deserves an individual thank you. Marco, our tour guide in Venice was absolutely delightful; a young woman (originally from Prague) made the beauty of the Sistine Chapel come alive with her in depth knowledge of art history; and Lilly, our tour guide in Pompeii, opened up the history of this wonderful archaeological sight. I can’t say enough about how well they handled their jobs and how well they treated my daughter and I.
Thank you so much for this wonderful- once in a lifetime trip. Your attention to detail – transfers, accommodations, tours and points of interest – made this a wonderful, almost effortless trip for us. I hope to return to Italy soon.
