Thought we should share a few pictures from our recent trip. Thanks for your help in setting it up.
The accommodations were all satisfactory; although, we enjoyed some more than others. The number of days we spent at each location was right on the mark. Of course, we would have liked a lot more time at each location, but the ones we chose to spend only one night at where the right ones to choose.
The trip itself was fun, and I think we hit the best areas but would include Cefalu if we were to do it again. Plus we had typical Thompson good luck on the weather; most of the trip was warm and clear. We had a really rainy day in Erice that limited our movement but made for moody pictures. The day we drove from Siracusa to Taormina was beautiful; so, Sue made the decision to visit Mt Etna that day since the rest of the week was forecast to be rainy. It was a good choice since it did rain during most of of our time in Taormina.
However, the day we left was warm and sunny; so, we drove up to Castelmola. We had lots of conversations with fellow travelers who didn’t see as much as we did.
The tours were well planned for the places where they were needed. For example, we did the temples in Selinunte on our own, but the tour guide in Agrigento added a lot to our understanding of the Valley of the Temples.
