I am happy to report we had a wonderful time visiting Italy, due to your attention to detail.
Amalfi was wonderful. It is an amazing area to visit and the drive through the area is an adventure for sure. Our boat trip was really great even though the weather required cutting it a little short. We were unable to walk around in Capri but we had a fun experience. In the future I might boat to many of the areas and walk into the towns as boating is easier than driving. Our hotel was really cute and breakfast was great. The staff was wonderful and we liked our location but wondered about a balcony overlooking the water. We had great meals also. We truly enjoyed Amalfi.
We also enjoyed Pompeii. The guide was really knowledgeable and very entertaining. We could have used a little more time in that area.
Rome: The hotel was wonderful, best pillows ever, as was our guide in Rome. She was excellent both days. We had several excellent meals there as well and many great memories. We really did enjoy Rome.
The rental car place in Florence was very busy as was the city( i.e., due to a march about global warming) and we had to wait a bit to get our ride but we were glad to have a ride to the rental spot. We were able to navigate very well. Coming back to drop off the car was not so easy. There was another march in the city, for life, I think. Many roads were closed as the march was in route, bringing 30,000 additional people I heard. After circling the city several times we finally had to park, call our driver and he came and found us. Such a relief and we were very thankful for him. He drove in front of us and we navigated back to the car rental. We were not far but even he had a hard time getting there due to the closures. He was great and got us to the Florence hotel very well.
The Tuscany country side was fabulous. We really enjoyed the countryside and the relaxed time. Great experience. The castle tour was fun, lunch was really good as were the wines. We also went to another castle and had more wine and fun. Beautiful area. We really enjoyed an evening sunset with a view.
Florence was good. Our hotel was excellent. We had wonderful meals. Our guide was excellent there as well. So pleasant and a great sport as we were a little tired. On one of our days we went to Pisa navigating the train by ourselves. Not much there but a good excursion.
Our drivers were really excellent and we were thankful to have each of our pickups. The guides were excellent. The train rides worked out well. We had a really wonderful time and were pleased with our accomodations, guides, drivers, and the detailed agenda. WE ate and drank ourselves silly and made such wonderful memories. We will recommend your service to our friends and save your contact for future adventures. Thanks so much for your service.
It is hard to adjust to cooking again:)
