What a great time we had on trip to Milan and Florence!
Everything worked like clockwork thanks to the great planning of our agent with Cultural Italy Luana LaCroce. First, the hotels we fantastic, right in the middle of the historic districts. The Square in Milan was perfectly situated where we could walk everywhere, to the Duomo, Galleria, LaScala. On our first day, we went on the Gourmet Experience, which was lead by Lorenza Scorti. She was fantastic allowing us to explore and stop when we wanted for samples. Of course of which we stopped frequently! We have never been to Milan before, and went on a walking tour of major locations the second day. What a beautiful, lively city with so much to see and do.
We moved onto Florence and stayed in the historic Frame hotel, again right in the historic district and walkable to everything. The Duomo was steps away. The hotel and staff where fantastic and so accommodating. A special mention to our Uffizzi Art and Handicraft tour lead by Laura Cirri. She was a wealth of knowledge and explained all the history of buildings, paintings, sites to us. My thirteen year old son was glued to her every word. She took the time to show and explain to us everything.
We also did a Chianti tour of two wineries and lunch which was so memorable. All of the drivers were timely, courteous, spoke English, in clean new vans.
We had an absolutely amazing time and cannot wait to plan our next trip! We have been to Italy before and this was by far our best experience.
