We cannot thank you enough for planning our first trip to Italy. We told you we wanted to spend 10 days on a land tour in Italy prior to a cruise we had previously scheduled. We also asked for time in Rome, Florence, and Venice, while also visiting the rural areas in Tuscany. Time to enjoy wine and great food was important. We asked for nice hotels close to major attractions. We asked for private tours arranged to make efficient use of our time. We also needed private transfers and train reservations. You far exceeded our expectations on all aspects of our trip.
The location, quality, and customer service of hotels in Rome, Radda in Chianti, Perugia, and Florence all were “Top Shelf.” Luca, our private tour guide for the Vatican, Colosseum and Ancient Rome made our tours so interesting and informative. He personalized it by wearing a Denver Bronco’s hat the second day. Our food tour through Trastevere with Gianluca was wonderful. Johnluca, our tour guide in Perugia scheduled visits to an olive farm and processing plant, two charming rural towns, including a private lunch at a small winery. He also helped us pick up a much needed replacement suitcase. Laura, our guide in Florence was excellent. She met us in the lobby of our hotel and provided a walking tour of Florence, a tour of the Accademia Gallery and assisted us in getting our tickets for the Uffizi Gallery.
Marcella, you helped convince us to rent a car in Florence for our visit to the Chianti area. The car allowed us to experience this beautiful rural area and visit Siena. The wine tasting and lunch near San Gimignano was delightful. Without your advice, we would have missed Perugia, one of our favorite stops. All shuttle services were right on time and easy to locate.
We would highly recommend you and Cultural Italy in the future. Thanks again.
