Pick up at your hotel in Palermo by your English speaking driver and transfer to Milazzo.
Meeting at Milazzo with your personal guide and boarding on the hydrofoil to Vulcano.
Vulcano is an active crater therefore the smell of sulphur is typical of this island but it depends on the direction where the wind blows. Sulphur is used in health treatments to improve breathing, skin, and bones, and many travel to this island to take advantage of this. After 45 minutes arrival to Vulcano and after check in at the hotel, you will take a short tour around the small village to see the mud, the wellness centre (hot swimming pools) the two beaches. Dinner at leisure. Overnight stay.
Meeting with the guide in the morning for a full day visit. At first the Archaeological Museum of Lipari, without any doubt one of the most beautiful and rich of the Mediterranean. The Cathedral of San Bartholomew is a very nice example of Sicilian Baroque and it leads to a nice stroll in the town. Time for lunch and continuing with private car around the island and see the pumice quarries and the view of the other islands. Once back we may take a private boat to go back to Vulcano and return to the hotel after a view of the island of Vulcano from the sea.
By hydrofoil or boat, excursion to Panarea and Stromboli. The excursion can be decided the day before as it depends on the weather conditions. In the morning first visit of the Panarea island, the prehistorical Village of Capo Milazzese, the famous Cala Junco, where you can go for a swim.
Continuing to Stromboli, the most active volcano. We will visit the village and on the way back the boat will stop in front of the “Sciara del Fuoco” the side from where explosions are visible from the sea. Return to Vulcano at night.
Departure to Salina by hydrofoil and visit of the archaeological area, the local museum and tour around the island. Taste the best granita in Sicily and if interested, visit to one of the famous cave which produce the Malvasia wine. Back to Vulcano in the afternoon. It's possible to plan a walk on top of the crater of Vulcano, 1hour and a half each way. It is worth doing to admire the sunset. Overnight stay.
Departure for Milazzo and then for Catania Airport.
