DAY 1: ARRIVE IN ROME
Upon arrival at Rome airport, meet your private driver for transfer to your hotel accommodation. Late afternoon discover the Eternal City on a comfortable eco-friendly golf cart, and learn about the Italian tradition of aperitivo. Along the way you will see the most famous spots in the city center like the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. It will be an unforgettable evening seeing Rome’s monuments under the stars! Overnight stay.

DAY 2: HOLY SEE AND COOKING CLASS
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning visit the Vatican Museums and its important art collections. In particular, you will admire Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel. You will also visit Saint Peter’s Square with the colonnade made by Bernini and the Basilica, the most important place of Catholicism. Once inside, you will admire unique works of art such as the famous Pieta’ of Michelangelo. In the afternoon, an amazing food tour will bring you in the Jewish Ghetto and Trastevere, considered to be the heart of the traditional Roman cuisine.

You will discover the neighborhood where Romans choose to eat with their families and where young Romans go for a drink in the evening. You will sample Italian classics like pizza and pasta, real Roman street food, less-known meats and cheeses, and amazing wines in a unique cellar. Overnight stay.

DAY 3: FLORENTINE PIZZA AND GELATO EXPERIENCE
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning departure by high-speed train to Florence. After check in at your hotel, join an afternoon pizza and gelato making class in the Tuscan countryside, a great experience to bring back to your friends and family. You will learn how to make tender, flexible yeast dough that stretches to almost paper-thinness, and how to combine the correct ingredients and the heating and freezing techniques and how they have different effects on ingredients.

You will discover the secrets for making the best pizza toppings and also how to make quality gelato and sorbet. At the end of the lesson, you will enjoy a delicious meal. Return to your hotel. Overnight stay.

DAY 4:  THE CRADLE OF RENAISSANCE
Breakfast at the hotel. This morning another must see museum of Florence is on the program: The Accademia museum that hosts Michelangelo’s masterpiece, the David. You will also be able to admire The Prisoners and St Matthew, other impressive Michelangelo’s work of arts. Explore the Duomo inside and outside, admiring the stained glass windows, Renaissance Frescoes, the monolithic gothic architecture and the stunning marble work on the cathedral floor.

You will also enjoy a city stroll stopping at some of the City’s most recognizable landmarks, like Palazzo Vecchio. Enjoy the Renaissance sculptures in the Loggia dei Lanzi, and Ponte Vecchio. Afternoon at leisure. Evening guided tasting tour to experience Florence’s food specialties. Overnight stay.

DAY 5: BOLOGNA THE FAT
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning departure by high-speed train to Bologna. Check in at your hotel. One of Bologna’s nickname is “the Fat”, because is often considered as the country’s culinary capital. Join a food tour and enjoy delicious tastings while learning about local specialties and their production.

Stroll around the food market with its ancient family-run shops, Stop in and visit  visit a bakery, a chocolate factory, a pasta laboratory, a gelato shop. Taste homemade pasta, cured meats and cheeses, local wines, pastries, chocolate and gelato. The tour will be led by an entertaining local guide who will make sure you are well fed.  Learn about Bologna’s traditions and culture. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay.

DAY 6:  BALSAMIC VINEGAR AND PARMISAN TASTING
Breakfast at the hotel. Today’s excursion is focus on discovering the area around Modena, not only famous as birthplace of world famous tenor Pavarotti, but also for the balsamic vinegar. Stop for lunch and vinegar tasting. Continue in the afternoon with a visit to a Parmigiano Reggiano producer to learn how the famous cheese is made, followed with tasting. Return to Bologna. Overnight stay.

DAY 7:  HAPPY HOUR MILANO STYLE
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning departure by high-speed train to Milan. Check in at your hotel followed by afternoon tour & wine tasting where you will learn about the happy hour tradition in Milan and tasting local delicacies. Overnight stay.

DAY 8: LAST SUPPER AND MORE
Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will discover Milan and its most famous attractions. Special focus will be on the Last Supper, the masterpiece by Leonardo da Vinci, located in the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. You will visit another must-see attraction: the Sforza Castle, a fortress that was used as a military base and a residence of the Dukes of Milan.

The tour will continue to Mercanti’s Square, the medieval heart of the city, and La Scala Theatre, Milan’s Opera House since 1778. From here, passing through the majestic Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery, with its high fashion boutiques, you will reach the stunning Duomo Cathedral. Afternoon at leisure. Evening optional concert/opera at La Scala. Overnight stay.

DAY 9: DEPARTURE
Breakfast at the hotel. Private transfer to the airport and departure. Arrivederci!
