Thanks for everything, it was a great trip! It hasn't been fun going back to work this past week though. :) I think the wine tasting in Vicenza and gourmet tour in Venice were definitely highlights and we really enjoyed the cooking class too. I'll upload a photo to the website once I finish going through all the pictures I took, I took a lot!
SPECIAL EVENT
The Venice Film Festival is held every year at the Lido of Venice, in the historic ‘Palazzo del Cinema’ and in the surrounding buildings. For ten days, the Lido turns into a minor version of Hollywood, with many international actors, that - I’m sure of it - also love to take the chance to visit such a fantastic location and - I bet - feel even more like movie stars.
We can't say enough good things about all the tour guides and drivers we had. All were on time or early, very professional and all had great fund of knowledge, especially the driver we had from Firenze to San Gimignano and Siena and back. Her name was Mafalda and she was so pleasant and charming and full of useful and interesting information, I felt we became good friends:)
We loved our experience in Rome, the Hotel Montecarlo was wonderful, and having the skip the line tickets allowed us to truly have a wonderful day-filled experience.
