Dear Alessia & Cultural Italy,
Many thanks for orchestrating an outstanding Italian vacation experience!!!
The accommodations were fantastic. Hotel Capo D’Africa was especially a gem in a great Roman neighborhood overlooking the coliseum – simply majestic from the hotel roof terrace all lit up at night. Renato Cuomo and his staff of drivers in Sorrento were a real class act. Very professional, fun and informative.
Sites and towns of the Amalfi coast were enchanting and breathtaking. Ample time to wander on our own, and a sidetrip we made to Anacapri to take the chairlift up to Mt. Solaro and tour Villa San Michele was really cool.
We thought we were out of luck when we got shut out of the Trastavere food tour, but the Roman Food Tour turned out to be outstanding, relaxed, fun, very tasty and led by a very personable, knowledgeable guide. Villa d’Este in Tivoli turned out to be a majestic gem (great suggestion) . The Rome Underground Tour was unique, very interesting and a nice respite from the Roman heat.
We even saw Pope Francis from St. Peter’s square during the feast of St. Peter and St. Paul. The only disappointment, was that we thought we were scheduled for the Italian cooking class to make a full meal, not the pizza making class at Fattoria Terranova. Nonetheless, that facility was over the top gorgeous and Francesca was a wonderful host.
As we have told our friends, call Cultural Italy to schedule a personalized, first class, unforgettable Italian vacation. We can hardly wait to touch base with you in a few years to coordinate our Northern Italy (Milan, Lake Como, etc) adventure!!!!
Ciao & our utmost gratitude,
Ira, Alice and Danielle
