Also known as La Scala, the Teatro alla Scala was inaugurated on August 3, 1778 and was originally known as the Nuovo Regio Ducale Teatro alla Scala (New Royal-Ducal Theatre alla Scala). The premiere opera was Antonio Salieri's 'Europa Riconosciuta'.

The Arena di Verona is a Roman amphitheater that was built in 30 AD and is still used for operas and concerts. It is among the world’s best-preserved ancient structures. The beautiful structure was home to popular events until suffering damage during an earthquake in 1117.

Turin’s Teatro Regio is the most famous opera house and opera company of Piedmont. Turin had used several buildings to host operas until the mid-1700’s when the Royal Theater was built.
We just returned from a wonderful trip to Italy! Although we originally booked it for April 2020, COVID prevented us from traveling until September this year. Marcella was great to work with and was able to keep our itinerary intact even though we had to change departure dates more than once.
