What has now become a tradition at the Teatro La Fenice is the spectacular Concerto di Capodanno 2020. This year’s performance includes top talent from around the world.

The spectacular New Year's Day parade – now a wonderful Roman tradition – is bursting back to give the city a rousing start to 2020.
More than a thousand musicians, including young students from the most prestigious high school bands in the United States, majorettes from Italy and Croatia, folk groups and Roman historical re-enactors, will perform through the historic centre of the capital. The free to watch spectacular Parade, which starts at 3,30 pm from Piazza del Popolo, comes courtesy of Destination Events, which for years has also been responsible for the successful similar event in London (London New Year Parade).

Porta Nuova: A new life in Milan
Named after the Napoleonic gate at its doorstep, Porta Nuova (new door) was once an industrial wasteland. Multiple planners and designers have helped shape the 290,000 square meters of abandoned buildings and railway lines into the towering center of high-tech and international business, featuring the country’s highest spired skyscraper, the Unicredit Tower.

You can find this amazing green maze just about 40 minutes away from Milan. This incredible Oasi was found in 1973 on the lands of the fascinating fortress of Sant’Alessio built back in far 1413.
EXHIBITION
While her relevance was remarkably underrated until recently, Plautilla Nelli proves to be a critically important figure of the Renaissance. At a time when women were limited, Nelli did something unconventional: she taught herself to paint. Nelli’s Last Supper, the only known one made by a female artist, has been restored for permanent exhibition at Santa Maria Novella. As one of the largest works created by early known female artist, Nelli’s Last Supper is a remarkable testimony for both her skill and boldness.
