Even if you are not a baby anymore, you will love this museum. Thousands of dolls, from giant to impossibly small ones, all decorated with incredible details, filling up the historical Castle Rocca Borromea di Angera located on the shore of Lake Maggiore.
Some naïf, others maleficent: each piece has its unique personality. And we promise, you will get lost scrutinizing their faces.
Il Museo della Bambola e del Giocattolo showcase over one thousand pieces, dating back up to XVIII century. Some are made of wood, others of wax, papier-mâché, porcelain or fabric.
The incredible selection (besides the great location, of course) made this place really popular and the museum itself is considered nowadays Europe’s most important Doll collection.
