This is the year when you can discover the latest design visions, building concepts and the most inspiring hints brought in from all over of our planet into a single place: the Venice Biennale.

A very unusual and precious exhibition has opened at La Triennale in Milan. The protagonist is the necklace telling visual stories and proudly claiming the supremacy of Italian jewelry in the world of fashion.
MUSEUM
Chic, mysterious and technologic. These are the first impressions that one person has entering the recently opened Prada Foundation in Milan. This new space for contemporary art is more than just a museum. Designed by the world renowned architect Rem Koolhaas, Fondazione Prada is a great (and reassuring) story that illustrates how an abandoned industrial space can turn into a precious (literally golden!) spot for art lovers.

Did you know that Milan has a church that can easily compete with the famous Sistine Chapel depicted by Michelangelo? Apparently small and humble San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore located in Corso Magenta 13 (only 5 minutes walk from Duomo di Milano) veils perhaps the biggest artistic treasure of the city.

Recently Hangar Bicocca in Milan has displayed extraordinary works of Madrid born artist Juan Munoz (1953-2001). Hundreds of anonymous human figures filled the dark and suggestive industrial space of the museum. The 15 most important installations signed by the Spanish sculptor brought evocative etudes on anxiety and loneliness issues, interaction games, physiological tricks and optical illusions, and involving spectators into these works of art.

Huge, 5 thousand sq.m big, Germany Pavilion designed by Schmidhuber architects is a landscape rich with ideas on future human nutrition.

This pavilion is a dramatic canyon-like space defined by undulating 12-metre-high walls. The whole structure evokes an image of sand dunes hosting suggestive narrow pedestrian streets and small courtyards typical of an ancient desert town of the United Arab Emirates.
