OFF THE BEATEN PATH
Have you ever dreamed of being a princess living in a castle? Well, I actually never had but visiting magic Dolceacqua changes my mind.Everything looks charming in this town: thousand years old Doria Castle (named after the family that owned the fortress for centuries), cobble stone ramps, breathtaking views on the picturesque Nervia river and the valley.
FILM LOCATION
When it comes to movies, some places seem too beautiful and spectacular to be real. Italy has long been the location for many blockbuster movies such as Quantam of Solace and this year’s Wonder Woman. From the beaches at Villa Cimbrone to the Castel Del Monte, these spectacular sites made these fictional locations a gorgeous reality.
MUSEUMS
Italy’s biggest museum of natural history (which is also one of the largest ones in Europe), Museo Civico di Storia Naturale in Milan displays true marvels of nature. Huge shells, mollusks, dinosaurs, sea creatures as well as man our origins and evolution are all to be found in this incredible collection.
DESTINATION
Some places seem too amazing to be real. Perugia’s Piazza IV Novembre is one of such sites. When you step on its ancient ground you will hardly believe that you are still in the 21st century. Full immersion into the antique atmosphere of the square made of marble details, white-and-pink color palette, and sophisticated ornaments typical of the Italian Medieval art will leave you breathless.
DESTINATION
You’ve definitely heard of it. Perhaps you even saw it in some movies. And certainly you won’t miss it when you will go to Florence. Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge) is among Firenze’s top sights and the pride of the city. It is an architectural prototype difficult to find elsewhere in the world today.
